Apple launches Fair Labor inspections of Foxconn
Apple has heard the critics it's now have the ability dig deeper into Foxconn's working conditions.
The iPhone maker announced today who's has asked the Fair Labor Association (FLA), a business "dedicated to ending sweatshop conditions in factories worldwide," to evaluate Foxconn facilities in Shenzhen and Chengdu, China.
The first inspections began today within Shenzhen factory called Foxconn City.
"We believe workers everywhere contain the locally to a secure and fair work place, throwing away we've asked the FLA to independently study the performance of the largest suppliers," Apple CEO Tim Cook said rrnside a statement. "The inspections now underway are unprecedented within the electronics industry, in scale and scope, and then we appreciate the FLA agreeing to take the unusual step of identifying the factories inside of their reports."
